Check ceremony and reception flow
Ask where guests arrive, where the baraat stages, where elders sit, where the mandap goes, and how guests move from ceremony to lunch or cocktail hour.
Ask about outside catering
Many Indian weddings need specialty catering. Confirm outside-caterer rules, kitchen access, insurance, prep space, trash handling, open flame policies, and service timing.
Understand room-flip risk
A venue may say it can flip a room, but you need to know who moves tables, how long it takes, where guests wait, and whether extra labor or security is required.
Look beyond ballroom capacity
Capacity should include stage, mandap, dance floor, buffet space, bars, family seating, photo/video sightlines, and space for guests to move comfortably.
Confirm setup and teardown access
Decor, photo/video, DJ, catering, and rentals all need time. A beautiful venue can become stressful if vendor access is too tight for a South Asian setup.
Questions couples ask
Start with guest capacity, outside catering, baraat access, ceremony setup, room-flip timing, vendor load-in, and overtime policies.
